This striped, textured fabric, woven with indigo-dyed yarn, light blue, and white yarns for the warp, and red highly twisted yarn for the weft, is a traditional Kameda-jima textile from Niigata. It is a cotton material that is comfortable against the skin and whose wrinkles add to its character.
