ONLY ONE / HAND BRUSH DYEING
A classic TULIP EN MENSEN stand-collar pullover blouse with an A-line silhouette that flares towards the hem. The back yoke has generous pleats, creating a beautiful drape with just the right amount of volume. The neckline and shoulders have a clean pattern, and opening the buttons creates an elegant look. The hem has a large curve, with a longer back silhouette. The cuffs are made long to create a contrast in sleeve volume, and can be folded once for an accent. The buttons are made of shell with a subtle luster. It has two pockets.
It uses a plain-weave cotton fabric that is moderately crisp yet soft to the touch and gently woven. By washing it, the texture of the fabric emerges, enhancing its material quality.
《Dyeing》
This time, under the guidance of Fujioka Somekoujo, recognized as a traditional craft of Niigata Prefecture for its Chusen dyeing technique, which has been used in "Echigo Honzome Chusen Tenugui" in Agano City, Niigata Prefecture since 1748 during the Edo period, the designer herself used brushes for hiki-zome (brush dyeing) to create this one-of-a-kind series with spontaneous brushwork. Since the product is dyed after sewing, it expresses a natural feel.
【Ayame (Iris) Color】
Ayame-iro (Iris color) is a reddish-purple color similar to the purple flowers of the iris. "Ayame" has been used as a color name since ancient times due to the beauty of both the flower's color and its name. Originally, it was a layered color name ("Omote: blue, Ura: red or plum red") used in summer. The designer loves flowers and often names fabrics after flower colors. This time, the light purple color was chosen because it evokes an image of elegance, transience, and inner strength. This color, which seems to gently embrace anyone, is interwoven with the iris's flower language, "good news," conveying a sense of people moving forward gently.
《Fabric》
We use a thin fabric woven by Nakaei Kigyo, a Kamejima weaver in Niigata. Although it is a sheer fabric, it is tightly woven and durable, yet also soft like cotton.
